LaserLyte CK-SWAT Side Mount Laser for S&W J-Frame and Taurus Revolvers finally gives your revolver a reliable laser sight that can be used with the factory gun grip. These laser sights are incredibly easy to install underneath your handgun's grip: simply choose the correct base plate, remove the gun grip, screw the sight into place, and replace the grip. Within a few minutes, you'll have a sighted, highly accurate Laser-Lyte laser sight for your revolver. The Laser-Lyte J-Frame Side Mount Laser Sight doesn't affect the profile of your revolver, so you can place it in a holster with ease: the only revolver-mounted laser sight to do so with factory grips. These sights have a nighttime range of 500 yards, plenty of power for your handgun. LaserLyte has made the Side Mount Laser compatible with all Smith & Wesson J-Frame and Taurus revolvers, including the Public Defender. What's more, an auto-off feature automatically turns the sight off after 6 minutes to preserve the 5 hour battery life. Add precision accuracy to your Smith & Wesson J-Frame or Taurus revolvers with the Laser Lyte S&W/Taurus Revolver Side Mount Laser Sight.

This laser sighting system is difficult to sight in. I've had mine for about a month and had to have the first unit replaced by the factory, They are great people to deal with. But the unit itself is almost impossible to bring on target. The adjustment range isn't great enough to do it. Almost makes me wish I had chose a Crimson Trace Laser. I will continue to work with the factory to get this ting sighted in and will update thhis comment then. Pros: Inexpensive, allows use of customer's grips Cons: Hard to st up, Hard to sight in
This was easy to install. I installed one on my Taurus Judge and one on my Smith 637. Pros: Has all necessary parts to fit Taurus and Smith J frame. Easy to install. Cons: None
Fit right on my S&W mod 60. The adapter plate fit like a charm. The laser itself presses up aginst my Pachmyer grips, but some triming should help the fit. Both my model 60 and the Pachmyers are over 25 years old but work like a charm. A great help for those of us over 60 and have eyes not quite as sharp as we once had. Can no longer see the hair on the flea on the fly on the blivit at 50 yards. Pros: Fits well, does the job intended Cons: Costs too much, way over priced
I have 4 of these and they are great. Better than laser grips that go off if you change your grip. Pros: Very easy to use. Cons: None
You need to modify the grip or it will leave a big gap between the halves of the grip when you put it back together. Easy to do with a Dremel. Pros: Performs perfectly Cons: Installs not quite as easy as they say
This compact, rugged and affordable laser sight works great for trigger control exercises and on house guns. It's bright and easy to install. Some modification will be necessary to the right side of most Taurus, Pachmayr and Hogue grips. On my wife's Taurus 85, which spends most days in the safe, it's as good as she'll ever need. Where it falls short is on carry guns. The switch is too easily activated accidentally in a pocket, purse or holster where the batteries might die unexpectedly. This has happened to me more than once. Those tiny 377 size batteries are expensive, hard to find locally and a pain to replace. For a nightstand weapon this device is perfect. For everyday concealed carry, look elsewhere and be prepared to spend more.
didn't receive the allen wrench to replace batteries
Even made my wife shoot better! Pros: Easy to install (5 minutes) easy initial site in no bore site needed and easy final zero. Cons: If sited in at close range itshoota low left at longer distances. sight in at long range and compensate for shorter shots works better.
